Drinking Liberally

Third Wednesday of each month, 6:00 p.m.: Drinking Liberally returns to Tucson, at Casa Vicente (375 S. Celebrate Tucson’s 241st Birthday

Friday, August 19, 5:30 p.m.: Tucson’s Birthday Celebration, at Presidio San Agustín del Tucson courtyard, 133 W. Washington St., Tucson, AZ. The Museum is free and open to the public on August 19th, the celebration of Tucson’s birthday. The public is welcome to attend the annual birthday celebration presented by the Tucson-Pima County Historical Commission. www.tucsonpresidio.com. Tucson Presidio was founded on August 20, 1775. The five flags that have flown over Tucson — American, Spanish, Mexican, Confederate, and the State of Arizona — will be presented in a ceremony at Presidio San Agustín del Tucson courtyard to celebrate Tucson’s 240th birthday. There also will be birthday cake and refreshments, cannon fire and living history demonstrations. Members from a wide variety of groups who make up the cultural fabric of Tucson will be in attendance along with elected officials and dignitaries. Admission is Free.

Saturday, October 1, 3:00 p.m.: SanTan Oktoberfest. The ninth annual Oktoberfest for San Tan Brewing and Downtown Chandler. at 3 South San Marcos Place, Chandler.
