Praise for Giffords. Danger for CD-8 Republicans

A few commenters this morning about Giffords' vote for health care.

sonorandesertrat: "I have been one of Gabby's harshest critics, and I've gone round and round on these forums with people about that a fair bit. I don't think I'll agree with her on a lot of things. But health care has been the top issue on my radar for a long time, and last night, she came through. I will donate money and support Giffords' re-election efforts."

Francine Shacter: "Yes, we aare lucky to have Gabby – now, let's get her re-elected. I am volunteering in her campaign office – I hope to see a lot of "us" there, working hard!"

PocoBravo: "Credit where credit's due. We're quite fortunate to have Congresswoman Giffords."

There are many of us in CD-8, and I include myself in the number, who have grown increasingly impressed with Giffords for being there when it counts. And many activists who might have otherwise sat on their hands, then voted for her, are now more willing to help her with time and money.

So keep those taunts coming, Tea Partiers. Keep those Scarps coming, Paton. (Scarps: Attack dog, logic-challenged rants written for Paton by Daniel Scarpinato.) They're helping Giffords rally her base.
