Apparently the Obama advance team can't find Tucson or even Southern Arizona on a map. President Obama will visit Phoenix for a third time this year on August 16, as well as the Grand Canyon. Obama's 3rd Ariz. visit part of Western swing:
President Barack Obama will return to Arizona this month for the third time since taking office, underlining once more the significance the White House puts on a state he lost in the 2008 election but hopes to pick up in 2012.
Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha plan to spend the day in Arizona on Aug. 16, White House officials announced Friday. The Obamas will visit the Grand Canyon and Phoenix, said Adam Abrams, western regional press spokesman for the White House. Details of the president's public appearances were not immediately available.
Obama's visit to Arizona will coincide with the national convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars at the Phoenix Convention Center from Aug. 15 to 23, fueling speculation the commander in chief will make an appearance. VFW spokesman Jerry Newberry told a Republic reporter earlier this week that the organization had invited Obama to speak. President George W. Bush addressed the group last year.
Well OK, fine, that makes sense. Presidents usually address the VFW and American Legion conventions when invited. So how about sending Michelle and the girls to Tucson for a quick visit? Maybe the ladies can show your advance team how to find this place for your next visit to Arizona (Michelle visited Tucson during the campaign, she knows where to find us, really she does).

I think it’s time Obama and clan stop wasting our money on his globe-trotting trips, including a 3rd one to Arizona. We don’t need these added expenses with the current budget problems, nor do we need Sky Harbor closed 3 times in one weekend!
He should go to California and see the 40,000+ people unemployed and thousands of almond, plum, and other trees dying because of some endangered 3 inch fish.
In February he flew to Virginia, Indiana, FLorida, Illinois, Colorado, Canada and North Carolina.
In March he was in San Diego and Los Angeles and then in London.
April found him all over the world, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Turkey, Iraq, Mexico and Trinidad.
In May he was in Arizona, Indiana, Maryland, Nevada and the famous “date” night in New York City.
June found him in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, back to Germany and France, and then to Wisconsin & Illinois.
July was equally busy as he jetted to Russia, Italy, Ghana, Missouri, New Jersey and New York City.
August, in only two weeks, he has been to Mexico, New Hampshire, Montana, Colorado and again Arizona.
Let’s just remember something.
President Obama took 6 months to choose dog, but he’s trying to ram health care reform through in less than 6 weeks.
Doesn’t that bother you? We can argue all day if we need reform or not, but let’s at least figure out what we’re doing first. When essentially none of the people voting on it have even read it, doesn’t that worry you?
do you liberals understand that this country was set up on capatalist, free market, and small government ideals? whoever said you should be steralized obviously was speaking way out of bounds, and that wasn’t right, but sometimes it’s hard to comprehend how you can watch everything the senate and house are doing, and still just think everythings going great. you cannot vote on a bill that you can’t even read. and president obama has been making it his first priority to rush this healthcare reform through congress. that is SCARY!! we conservatives are sick of congress and the president doing so much for “OUR OWN GOOD” we are all human beings. adults. we know what is best for us. and the government is slowly turning socialist! we have so much debt, our great great great great grandchildren will still be paying for it! even if medicare and social security were immediately ended! and all this thanks to the man in the white house. thanks mr. president.

I enjoy conversations with like-minded people, not conversations with people who say things like:
“Whichever it is, we need to sterilize you so you cannot create anymore mooches to this country.”
If I wanted to read drivel, I’d read the comments section of the Star or the Republic.

So 1st off, let’s figure out who in this situation is really the “wacko.” Second of all, you better believe I will be harassing and interrupting his speech as much as I possibly can as a single person. You may as yourself why. It’s because I am simply stunned by how uneducated you are with his policies. It’s either that or you’re just a lazy bastard whose hoping the government will take over everything so YOU don’t have to do or worry about doing it. Wow. This hasn’t been reported in the Tucson media.
I think it’s OK that they don’t split the family up to send Michelle and the kids down here for a visit. Not now, at least. The teabagger thugs would jump all over it. And yes, that’s what they are, thugs. When you disrupt a family event such as Cinema La Placita because you thought you’d have a chance to scream at a congresswoman, you’re a thug. When you interfere with another congresswoman who is trying to meet with constituents at a grocery store, you’re a thug. I can go on and on. Right now, let the First Family stay together and let’s just let the Secret Service do their job.
