Public Forum on Tucson Ballot Initiatives Today

Posted by AzBlueMeanie:

The Pima Association of Taxpayers is sponsoring a public forum today on the Tucson ballot initiatives, the "Public Safety First" initiative (Prop. 200) and the TUSD budget override initiatives (Props. 401 and 402). Speakers for and against the propositions will present their arguments.

What: Public forum on ballot initiatives

Where: Joel D. Valdez Main Library (downtown: Stone Ave. at Aalameda)

When: Tuesday October 6, 2009 at 5:30 p.m.

Parking: Free parking in the garage under the library after 5:00 p.m.

Seating is limited in the library conference room, so come early if you want a seat.

And how about having a civil discussion of the issues rather than the boorish rude behavior of shouting down speakers with whom you disagree? (That goes for both sides). I understand media will be present.

UPDATE 10/7/09: Despite the fact that media was to be present, there is no reporting of this event in the Arizona Daily Star today. If anyone attended this forum, please file your report in the comments.

  1. The Pro-200 people didn’t even bother to show up. Looks like they are not interested in even discussing this dog in public – too embarrassing, I guess.
