Press release from the Jon Hulburd for Congress campaign:
PHOENIX (Oct. 21, 2010) – Jon Hulburd released a new ad today on broadcast and cable stations throughout Phoenix.
The ad, entitled “House,” questions whether Ben Quayle has the necessary life experience and judgment to best serve the voters of Arizona’s Third Congressional District. The ad shows that Quayle, the 33-year-old embattled Republican candidate, may be fit to enter a college fraternity house but not enter the U.S. House of Representatives.
Evidence for this claim comes from Quayle’s past writing career for an obscene website, his miscalculation of the federal budget by $11 trillion [1] and his thin voting record in Arizona. [2]
The ad concludes with the line: “At a time when we’re crying out for leadership and maturity, can we afford Ben Quayle?”
“Ben Quayle has shown that he’s not ready to face the serious issues confronting our country,” said Hulburd. “These tough times demand mature leadership.”
