AZ Blue Meanie has two disturbing stories below. One is about Paul Babeu's record at the private boarding school he ran in Massachusetts. The other is about a restraining order requested by Georgette Escobar against Daniel Patterson.
The Babeu story from ABC15.com is so clearly damning, there is little chance Babeu will survive as a candidate for Congress, let alone serve out his tenure as sheriff. He should resign immediately. I will be surprised if we don't hear some kind of announcement from him or his lawyer before the end of the day.
The allegations against Patterson are less clear at this point, simply because there is not enough information. Patterson must step forward and confront the allegations head on. If they are without substance, he should say so. If he does have a problem involving violence against women, he needs to step down from his position in the Arizona legislature and get the help he needs.
