Representative-Elect Yassamin Ansari Creates Congressional Team That Looks Like America

On the eve of getting sworn in as Arizona’s new House Representative from Arizona Congressional District Three, Yassamin Ansari announced the names of individuals that will make up her Congressional Staff.

In the below social media release, the Representative-Elect declares that 70 percent of her team has ties to Arizona and over 50 percent are people of color.

Her senior staff leaders are all women.

It is a team that looks like America.

The team includes people who have worked with the Representative-Elect when she was a Councilwoman-Vice Mayor in Phoenix like new District Director Maria Lopez and Policy Advisor Aaron Kane.

The team also has seasoned Washington Professionals like new Communications Director Kaitlin Hooker who used to work for Arizona Representative Tom O’Halleran.

Representative-Elect Ansari has also brought in veterans of hers and Harris/Walz campaigns like incoming Director of Operations and Scheduling Jordyn Hughes and Press/Digital Secretary Daisy Martinez.

Commenting on the new team in the below press release, Ms. Ansari stated:

“I’m deeply honored by the trust placed in me by the people of Arizona’s Third Congressional District. As I get ready to be sworn in, I am thrilled to announce we are fully staffed with a talented and dedicated team that is ready to hit the ground running on Day One. This team reflects the diversity and values of our district and has the expertise needed to drive meaningful change for our community.”
