Republicans Need to Decide: Are They With the Republic or Donald Trump and the Domestic Terrorists

There is NO doubt that Donald Trump and his cultist followers in the Trump Zone-Fox Island-Disinfowar Alternative Fact Universe encouraged a fringe mob of gullible and violent domestic terrorists to storm the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Need a reminder.

Some Republicans like House Minority Leader Kevin I want to be Speaker but can’t without Trump’s support McCarthy apparently does.

So do the Republicans at the Arizona Republican Convention who gave speaking slots to Coup Plotters Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar and reelected Trumpist Insurrectionist Cheerleader and Election Denier Kelly Ward.

And apparently, most of the Republican Senators in Congress who do not think convicting Trump at his Impeachment Trial in mid-February is justifiable do as well.

Watch Trump follower and House Representative Mo “falling rocks cause rising sea levels” Brooks speak to that mob before the attempted insurrection that day, telling them to “start taking down names and kicking ass.”

Those names and the people he wants to have their asses kicked are his Democratic and Republican colleagues in the Congress who would not overturn the fair and legitimate November 3, 2020 elections.

Then there is Rudy Giuliani who called for Trial by Combat at the same event.

Or Donald Trump Junior telling the mob that if Congress did not do his father’s bidding, “we’re coming for you.”

And finally, Donald Trump himself who egged the crowd to walk with him to the Capitol (a journey he, his son, or his personal attorney themselves did not take) to persuade Vice President Pence and uncommitted Republicans to change the election results in their favor.

Why have Brooks, Giluani, and the Trumps not been arrested yet by the local authorities for inciting a riot?

It is time for what is left of the mainstream Republican Party to heed the words of their last Republican President before Donald Trump.

Those words by former President George W. Bush (admittingly one of the worst Presidents in United States History) are on point today.

When the Republicans across the country and more importantly the ones in the United States Senate have to voice their views or impeachment conviction vote on Donald Trump’s culpability in the January 6. 2021 attempted Domestic Terrorist insurrection at the Nation’s Capitol, they have to consider:

Are they with the Republic or Donald Trump and the Domestic Terrorists?

This should not be a tough decision.
