The left keeps on bringing up race to divide us, Republicans love to say. But when it comes to claiming minority group status, there's no race-based stretch too far for Karl Rove & Co.
You know what making hedge funds disclose donations to Super PACs is like, according to Rove? It's like making NAACP donors in the 1940s and 50s reveal their identities.
He has a point in one sense. At 1 percent, the super rich are more of a minority group than African Americans. All they're asking for is the right to assert their influence in proportion to their wealth. I've heard them at their One Percent Protest Marches chanting, "What do we want?" "POWER!" "When do we want it?" "NOW!"
