Senate vote on Ryan’s Roadmap to America’s Ruin budget next week

Seizing on a political opportunity, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told USA TODAY on Wednesday he plans to push a Senate vote next week on Rep. Paul Ryan's Roadmap to America's Ruin that would end Medicare as we know it.

As Senator Harry Reid warned in his interview with the USA Today:

"I think we will see that not all Republicans will vote for it," Reid said. "If I were running for re-election, Democrat or Republican, I would want to stay as far from that Ryan budget as possible."

The Hill newspaper reported White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer weighed in with this tweet on Wednesday. "Biggest takeaway from the Gingrich flap — ending Medicare as we know it is the new GOP litmus test."

Tea-Publicans in the U.S. Senate will get their chance to vote for Rep. Ryan’s Roadmap to America's Ruin and to end Medicare as we know it. We will see how many senators are willng to walk the plank and join their Tea-Publican colleagues in the House (who have faced hostile constituents back home over their vote), and vote to throw America’s seniors off the cliff …

… Literally. (Video by the Agenda Project).
