Update to AG Kris Mayes Is Investigating Trump’s Fake GQP Electors:
“I will investigate the fake electors’ situation, and I will take very seriously any effort to undermine our democracy,” Mayes said. “Those are the cases that I will take most seriously.”
Mayes would not elaborate on the status of the investigation or comment further.
Fani Willis in Fulton County, Georgia is preparing to indict the fake GQP electors in that state whom she has not given immunity for entering into a cooperative witness agreement. At least 8 fake GQP electors have immunity in Ga. election probe.
Earlier this year, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel re-opened her criminal investigation into fake GQP electors. Michigan attorney general re-opens criminal probe into fake electors for Trump.
“What we have seen from the January 6 committee is an overwhelming amount of evidence. I thought that there was already a substantial amount of evidence in that case. But now, there is just clear evidence to support charges against those 16 false electors, at least in our state,” Nessel said.
“Quite candidly, yes, we are re-opening our investigation because I don’t know what the federal government plans to do,” she added.
Special Counsel Jack Smith has subpoenaed Arizona elected officials, Arizona GOP legislators subpoenaed to testify in special counsel probe of Trump, and the DOJ had previously subpoenaed Arizona Republican Party chair Kelli Ward and AZ GOP officials Nancy Cottle and Loraine Pellegrino.
There has been little to no reporting on what actual investigation into the the two sets of fake GQP electors in Arizona that the Attorney General’s office has done. There have been no leaks from the targets of that investigation or GQP lawyers to the media that their clients have been hauled in front of a grand jury or even received a target letter from the AG’s office. If there is a state investigation, there is little public facing evidence of it. Attorney General Kris Mayes owes the public an explanation of the status of her office’s investigation after 6 months in office.
Likewise, there has been little or no reporting on Special Counsel Jack Smith issuing subpoenas to the two sets of fake GQP electors. How seriously is the Special Counsel pursuing Arizona’s two sets of fake GQP electors? They all need to be indicted as Coup Plotter co-conspirators or as accessories who aided and abetted the fake GQP elector scheme, e.g., forgery of official government documents, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy to defraud the United States.
This week, Special Counsel Jack Smith did haul Nevada fake GQP electors before the crimal grand jury in Washington, D.C. Nevada ‘fake GQP electors’ appear before D.C. grand jury investigating Jan. 6:
Nevada GOP Chair Michael McDonald, a close Trump political ally, as well as Jim DeGraffenreid, the state party’s vice chair, were spotted by NBC News entering the area where the Jan. 6 jury is meeting at the Washington federal courthouse Tuesday.
"McDonald had testified before the Jan. 6 Select Committee, where he invoked his Fifth Amendment right more than 200 times." https://t.co/kc8PiPybNU

When asked about having to appear the same day as Trump’s court date, McDonald joked to an NBC News reporter: “Not on my bucket list.” McDonald had previously confirmed to NBC News that federal authorities seized his cellphone as part of the investigation.

McDonald has a close personal friendship with Trump, and in recent months, he had visited Mar-a-Lago as part of a Nevada delegation Trump was courting for endorsements. McDonald had testified before the Jan. 6 Select Committee, where he invoked his Fifth Amendment right more than 200 times.
Both McDonald and DeGraffenreid served as so-called fake electors, slates of electors who in most cases signed certification documents [forgeries] purporting that Trump had won in their states even though he had lost.
Whoever organized the fake electors plot was part of a criminal conspiracy to obstruct the most significant federal government proceeding, the one that keeps our republic alive.
Jack Smith will ask a grand jury to indict everyone involved.
That could well include Donald Trump https://t.co/aVZEPk7Y0J
