A message from the AFL-CIO in support of the Stamp Out Hunger food drive by the National Association of Letter Carriers:
Over 50 million Americans are at risk of hunger.
You can do something about it.
This Saturday, May 14th, the National Association of Letter Carriers is asking Americans to make a contribution to the largest one-day food drive in the nation. It may also be one of the easiest food drives to take part in.
Just follow these steps to Help Stamp Out Hunger:
- Place *non-perishable food products in a bag
- Leave the bag at your mailbox on Saturday, May 14th
- Your letter carrier will pick it up and deliver your donation to local food banks or pantries
This food drive was started right here in Arizona by our local National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) unions, along with Labor's Community Service Agency.
Now, the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive the largest one-day food drive in the nation. It just goes to show what working people, acting together through their unions, can do to help improve the lives of all Americans.
Join me in the fight against hunger on May 14th. Take a look at the simple instructions in the box on the right to do your part.
