Steve King is a Walking Non Fiction Horror Story who needs to leave Congress NOW.

Steve King (unlike the writer Stephen King) is a walking nonfiction horror story.

He needs to be forced to resign from Congress if he does not leave on his own.

This insult to the public service does not deserve to have a seat in the hallowed chamber of the House of Representatives.

Over his career, King has:

  • Shared tweets from known Nazi sympathizers.
  • Defended white nationalism and white supremacy.
  • Insinuated that African and Hispanic Americans would fight and neutralize each other before becoming the majority population groups in the United States.
  • Come out against immigrants, including Dreamers.

Today, this calamity ( it should be noted he endorsed 2012 Missouri Senate Candidate Todd Akin, the candidate that claimed women if they were legitimately raped could stop conception) said, at a gathering of conservatives,  that humanity would not exist if not for rape and incest.

The exact quote, reported by the Des Moines Register was:

“What if we went back through all the family trees and just pulled those people out that were products of rape and incest? Would there be any population of the world left if we did that?”

“Considering all the wars and all the rapes and pillages taken place and whatever happened to culture after society? I know I can’t certify that I’m not a part of a product of that.”

Steve King is scum and a disgrace.

To say human existence is attributable to sexual assault is repulsive, disgusting, and beyond the pale.

He does not deserve a place in public service and the sooner he is ejected, willingly or otherwise from the House of Representatives, the better for the country and the nations civic discourse.

Republicans have yet another opportunity to prove they are on the side of decency.

Hopefully, they will do the right thing and get Steve King to leave the House of Representatives and retire him to his hole in Iowa.

While they are at it, maybe they can ask Arizona Representatives Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs to leave as well. They peddle in the same white nationalist social circles and Arizonans can find better and more able candidates to replace them.
