Steve Kozachik speaks out against Ally Miller

by David Safier

So far as I know, Republican City Council member Steve Kozachik hasn't made a formal endorsement in the Nancy Young Wright/Ally Miller race for Pima County Supervisor, District One. But on Arizona Illustrated (August 31, 2012), the Koz made it clear he thinks Miller is unsuited for the job and suggests Republicans, especially those who voted against her in the primary "take a hard, serious look at Nancy Young Wright, who is a quality person and deserves a serious look."

Koz on Miller:

"What [Miller] had was an identifiable voting bloc that represented the same extreme wing of the party that was supporting Sean Collins. [Collins ran against Ray Carroll in the District 4 primary.] She made a campaign out of misunderstanding the County debt system. . . . If that's her mantra, and you don't get your facts straight . . . that doesn't bode well for being willing to step up to the plate and say, 'You know, I made a mistake and I'm willing to learn.'

Here's the Arizona Illustrated clip.

Hat tip to Mike Bryan for the clip. At this point, I don't have the date of the Arizona Illustrated episode, just that it was after the primary. I'll add the date when I get it.

[Full disclosure: I volunteer with Nancy Young Wright's campaign. I am also a member of the fact-based community who is willing to let Koz's words speak for themselves.]
