What does stochastic terrorism mean?
Stochastic terrorism is “the public demonization of a person or group resulting in the incitement of a violent act, which is statistically probable but whose specifics cannot be predicted.”
The word stochastic, in everyday language, means “random.” Terrorism, here, refers to “violence motivated by ideology.”
Here’s the idea behind stochastic terrorism:
- A leader or organization uses rhetoric in the mass media against a group of people.
- This rhetoric, while hostile or hateful, doesn’t explicitly tell someone to carry out an act of violence against that group, but a person, feeling threatened, is motivated to do so as a result.
- That individual act of political violence can’t be predicted as such, but that violence will happen is much more probable thanks to the rhetoric.
- This rhetoric is thus called stochastic terrorism because of the way it incites random violence.
Is State Sen. Wendy Rogers an outlier anymore? Ally of @KariLake & Mark Finchem at top of "Trump Ticket" is now in what's become mainstream of Arizona Republican Party. https://t.co/jDHwN1RjrG

Earlier this year, Wendy Rogers also tried to cast doubt on a racist massacre in Buffalo, New York by implying it had been staged by the federal government. https://t.co/tnbmzxAHi1

The Hill reports, GOP gives mixed messages on Paul Pelosi attack:
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) was quick to respond after news broke of the attack, saying he was “horrified and disgusted.”
Former Vice President Mike Pence also came out strongly against the assault, calling it an “outrage.” Other party leaders, including House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (La.), who was shot during an attack at a congressional baseball practice in 2017, have similarly spoken against the violence.
However, Donald Trump has remained silent on the issue, even as he has continued to frequently post on his social media platform Truth Social about everything from the midterm elections to the Mar-a-Lago documents lawsuit to the late singer Jerry Lee Lewis.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) also avoided making any public statements about the attack in the hours after the news broke, though his spokesman told The Hill on Friday that the congressman had reached out to the Speaker to check on her husband and was praying for his recovery.
[L]ater Saturday, McCarthy addressed the attack in an interview on Breitbart radio, calling it “wrong” and condemning political violence.
Beyond the top rungs of the Republican Party, the response to the attack was varied.
While some Trump allies — like Reps. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) — followed the former president’s lead and remained largely quiet on the incident, others spoke out against the attack and against political violence more broadly.
Arizona Republican leaders should condemn Wendy Rogers for her vile social media post, but they won’t. They have done nothing to distance themselves from this White Christian Nationalist and QAnon cult conspiracy theorists. Instead they are out campaigning with her on the very same day.
Conservative commentator S.E. Cupp on CNN condemned the GOP rhetoric following the attack on Paul Pelosi – “It is an absolute cancer.”

So the verbal attacks on conservative Supreme Court justices following the overturning of Roe v Wade that preceeded an assination attempt on Justice Robert’s were acts of stochastic terrorism. Hmmmmm. I never thought of it that way. But it seems like suppression of free speech.
Well of course John Kavanagh supports stochastic terrorists, he’s one himself.
And here he is comparing fighting for women’s rights to calls for the violent overthrow of the United States from armed MAGAts?
And he’s defending justices that lied in their job interviews, including that one giant wienie who screamed and cried like an angry child.
John Kavanagh is also fine with lying as he’s proven on this website so many, many times.
He likes to make online threats, too, because he’s such a tough guy. LOL
Please send all the money you can to RaicesTexasDotOrg and do it In Honor of Arizona Rep Lyin’ John Kavanagh the Racist/Terrorist POS.
Maybe someday old Jersey John will read the Constitution, I’m not betting on it, but at least while we wait to see we can help Raices provide free or low cost legal helps to immigrants.
Immigrants like the ones this creep Kavanagh tries to stir up violence against, all while he lectures people on the whereabouts of gawd.
JFC.
Dude, you can’t even do trolling right. “Nicholas John Roske was arrested in the early morning hours outside Justice Kavanaugh’s house in the Washington suburb of Chevy Chase, Maryland carrying a semi-automatic Glock 17 pistol, a knife and a tactical vest, according to documents filed in federal court.” “Man charged with plotting murder of US Supreme Court justice”, https://guardian.ng/news/man-charged-with-plotting-murder-of-us-supreme-court-justice/
Roske was spotted outside Kavanaugh’s house by two US Marshals standing guard. He walked away and called emergency services, telling them he was feeling suicidal and had come from California to kill Kavanaugh, according to the documents.
The 26-year-old was arrested without incident by local police while he was still on the phone.
Here’s the big difference from Republicans:
“President Joe Biden condemned the threat against Kavanaugh “in the strongest terms,” the White House said.”
“Threats of violence and actual violence against the justices of course strike at the heart of our democracy,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said Wednesday. “For that reason last month, I accelerated the protection of all the justices’ residences, 24/7.”
So President Biden admirably condemning the threat negates the stochastic terrorism of Dems who demonized the justices who overturned Roe? Are you serious? Please explain your irrational reply.
This is the part where John Kavanagh pretends 140 cops weren’t injured or maimed on January 6 after being egged on by a hollywood actor and Fox News.
How many cops were injured during the Roe protests John?
None you say? So maybe your point is that you don’t have a point, you just like to twist facts around.
Spin, it’s called.
That’s one example, next John will ignore this or demand more examples, because he lacks the intellectual curiosity to do any research that may conflict with his limited worldview.
He won’t do the research on right wing violence and its source.
He will then declare victory and stop replying like the little bitch he is.
He does this here all the time.
What America needs is smarter trolls.
And we need more immigrants. Everyone should send what they can to RaicesTexasDotOrg.
Raices provides free or low cost legal help to immigrants.
Please donate in Honor of Arizona Rep John Kavanagh.
The good folks at Raices work hard, because they want to help people, and because they don’t live off government checks like John Kavanagh.
So, “whataboutism” is all you’ve got when it comes to rationalizing violent rhetoric and behavior, right, Rep. Kavanagh? Or is it “it’s OK, if we accuse someone else of doing the same thing”?
Sounds like “IOKIYAR”.
I don’t recall John Kavanagh disavowing JT Ready.
