Sundareshan and Pawlik Elected as New Co-Chairs of ADLCC

From ADLCC

Ahead of the next election cycle, the Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (ADLCC,) the political organization most responsible for ensuring party victories in the State Legislature has elected State Senator Priya Sundareshan and State Representative Jennifer Pawlik as their new Co-Chairs.

Commenting on her election, the MIT graduate and Environmental Attorney Sundareshan, a first-term State Senator, offered:

“The tides are turning in Arizona. Over the last decade, Arizona Democrats have made significant legislative gains. Now, approaching the 2024 cycle, Democrats are well poised to flip the Arizona legislature and deliver a Democratic trifecta for Governor Hobbs. Alongside Rep. Jennifer Pawlik, I am prepared to lead the ADLCC, its candidates, and staff to a successful 2024 cycle.”

Three Term State Representative Pawlik, a career Educator, relayed:

“Legislative races are won and lost by razor-thin margins. As a former battleground candidate in a competitive district, I know that what makes the difference is robust and strategic field programs. In battleground districts, the ADLCC prioritizes knocking on doors and talking to voters about the issues that matter to them and their families. That’s how we have historically won in tough districts, and that’s how we will flip the legislature in 2024.”

  1. This is fantastic news–and well earned recognition. But recognition is not enough. Let’s recruit more talented young Democrats, enough to flip the AZ House and Senate and improve the lives of all Arizonans. Sound policies are the path to a safe and clean water supply, a better educated work force, safe schools and neighborhoods, and food, shelter, and health care security. Unlike sound bites, which too often focus on our differences and create division, sound policies bring us together in common cause.
