Sundareshan, Jayapal, and De Los Santos Call Out MAGA Republicans “Complicity” for Not Condemning Violent Statements From Their Own Members

The word for the day from Arizona Senate Democratic Leader Priya Sundareshan, Washington Representative Pramila Jayapal, and Arizona Democratic House Leader Oscar De Los Santos in a joint social media appearance towards the words, actions, and silence of MAGA Republicans from Donald Trump to Arizona Representative John Gillette was “complicit.”

“Complicit” in the context of MAGA Republicans in Washington D.C. willingly staying away from the House of Representatives to avoid tackling the Trump Shutdown and Trump Health Care Crisis of their own making rather than work on solutions to these problems with Democrats.

“Complicit” in the context of these same MAGA Republicans in Washington D.C. refusing to come into session to swear in Representative-Elect Adelita Grijalva so the discharge petition authorizing the release of the Epstein Files will continue to be blocked.

“Complicit” in the context of Mr. American Duce Wannabe Trump suspending clean energy and infrastructure grant payments to Blue States and sending ICE-Gestapo forces to raid homes of innocent children and their parents in Chicago in the middle of the night.

“Complicit” in people like Mr. ‘I have a multi page complaint sheet from when I was in law enforcement’ John Gillette unleashing violent diatribes against Representative Jayapal calling for her hanging and then saying, ‘I’m sorry I made a mistake. I meant firing squad.’

“Complicit” in people all across the State and National Republican Party refusing to condemn, denounce, and correct the violent rhetoric, dehumanizing statements like Trump calling Democrats gnats, and streams of misinformation from vile individuals like Mr. Trump, Mr. Miller, and Mr. Gillette that contribute to political assassinations like the murder of the Minnesota Speaker of the House, the assault on Nancy Pelosi’s husband, the attack on the Governor of Pennsylvania’s home, and the suspected arson of a South Carolina Judge’s, who recently ruled against the Trump regime, residence.

Although, none of them mentioned it, also remember how Trump and his allies divisive and big lies about the 2020 election led to January 6, 2021.

At the end of the event, both Senator Sundareshan and Representative De Los Santos promised to continue the fight to hold MAGA Republicans accountable for their actions and “dehumanizing” statements like the ones Gillette made about Representative Jayapal.

Before the event, both Leaders Sundareshan and De Los Santos issued social media messages condemning political violence in all forms.

Unfortunately, it is the Republicans who still care about the American Ideal that need to stop being complicit in their silence and speak up, telling people like Mr. Gillette ‘Enough is enough. Time for you to leave now. There’s no place in these hallowed halls of the people for vile individuals like you.’
