Lawyers have established the Hannah Dugan Legal Defense Fund in response to the federal government’s unprecedented attack on the independence of the judiciary.
On April 26, FBI agents arrested Judge Hannah Dugan for allegedly shielding an undocumented immigrant from an ICE arrest. The FBI claims that Judge Dugan informed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents they needed a warrant to detain the individual, who had appeared in her courtroom on a misdemeanor charge.
Following her arrest at the Milwaukee County Courthouse, Judge Dugan was handcuffed, shackled, placed in a holding cell, and brought before a court on a partial complaint.
Judge Dugan has argued that she cannot be prosecuted for official judicial conduct, citing the same legal precedent recently granting former President Donald Trump broad immunity for “official” acts.

This fund is critical to mounting an effective defense against a legal action that threatens the very foundation of Wisconsin’s judicial independence. Given the complexity and gravity of the case, substantial legal resources are required.
The fund has been established in accordance with Wisconsin’s Code of Judicial Conduct and the State Code of Ethics. Strict safeguards, including rigorous limitations on who may contribute, ensure ethical compliance.
Oversight and Management
The fund is managed by an independent, professional entity with experience in fund administration. Legal counsel with expertise in professional ethics oversees its operations. Former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Janine P. Geske will serve as a trustee and ensure the fund’s integrity and transparency.
Judge Dugan, who was duly elected to her position, fully intends to return to the bench. The fund’s structure reflects this commitment and includes safeguards to preserve public trust and legal propriety.
Contribution Restrictions
To ensure full compliance with ethical standards, the following restrictions apply:
- Donations accepted only from U.S. citizens
- No donations from residents of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
- No donations from attorneys practicing in Milwaukee County
- No donations from lobbyists or lobbying firms
- No donations from members of the Wisconsin judiciary, parties with pending matters before any Milwaukee County Circuit Court, or donations from Milwaukee County employees.

Don’t lie..
She hasn’t said she did anything. Just that under the Trumpian USSC ruling, a public officer receives immunity for “official acts.”
She’s pointing out the hypocrisy of applying that ruling only to Cheeto.
So she does not deny that she did it. Her defense is that she has immunity because it is a Trump-like official act. I had no idea that you subscribed to that legal theory.
John Who Dines on the Taxpayer Dime Kavanagh makes a good point, just not the one he thought he did. LOL.
The Federalist Society and others have been pushing for a powerful POTUS, which in spite of their stated “constitutional government” lie is something not in the Constitution and is something the founding fathers feared.
Not wanting a king was their jam.
So this judge is saying she’s immune because SCOTUS says the convicted rapist and felon is immune.
When the pendulum swings back the other way, and it always does, these trumpanzee’s, er, I mean, the GQP, will scramble to take back all the power they’re giving President Pedo, aka Jeff Epstein’s BFF for ten years, aka the guy who bragged about peeping on naked underage girls.
My favorite was the recent claim that the Qatari puppet currently in the White House could undo Biden’s pardons.
Criminals are not know for being super smart, but in this case, it seems like someone got “woke”.
They’re all counting on pardon’s from Putin’s side piece to pardon them.
And if John Baron aka David Dennison can roll back a pardon, so can the next Dem in the White House.
So they’d all be screwed, pardon’s undone, and tried for their crimes.
