220px-Survivor_borneo_logo"Survivor – GOP Presidential Primary" returns from its Spring Break in Florida hiatus on Wednesday, February 22 from the Mesa Arts Center in Mesa, Arizona. Once again the debate is hosted by TeaNN (formerly CNN) and the Arizona Republican Party on TeaNN at 8:00 p.m. ET. For those of you who prefer live punishment, there may still be some tickets left to attend this debate from the AZGOP. Arizona Presidential Debate.

This may be the series finale for this reality TV show, due to low ratings and a lack of interest from not only the viewing public, but the Survivor contestants themselves. Willard "Mittens" Romney, Rick "man on dog" Santorum, and Ron Paul all pulled out of the debates previously scheduled for Georgia on March 1, and for March 5 at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, CA, so the show's producers canceled the debates.

The only other previously announced debate was from Portland, Oregon on March 19 hosted by Oregon Public Broadcasting, NPR, PBS, The Washington Times and the Oregon Republican Party. It's a good bet that this debate will be also be canceled.

So the dismal reality TV series "Survivor – GOP Presidential Primary" is likely to come to an end before all of the plot lines have been resolved and a winner declared. This anti-climatic ending is certain to disappoint the show's few remaining die-hard fans. "You made me watch over 20 debates for this? No Survivor winner?"

As Sally Brown said to Linus when the Great Pumpkin failed to appear, "You owe me restitution!"

It seems the state of Maricopa media are the only ones excited about hosting this anti-climatic series finale of "Survivor." The Arizona Republic is trying hard to convince itself that this is a good thing with a both a report Republican debate in Mesa puts Arizona in spotlight and an editorial opinion today. Eyes will be on Mesa's triumph.
