AFSCME responds to Newt Gingrich's contention that child labor laws are "truly stupid" and that school janitors should be fired and poor kids hired to clean up after their own classmates with this ad.
Newt Gingrich has come out in favor of child labor before. In 1994 he suggested that children on welfare be shipped off to orphanages. His model? The 1938 workhouse film Boys Town.
Tag line of the ad: "Tell him he's nuts."
