The second U.S. Senate debate last night for the Republican candidates
went the same as the first. The moderator Bill Buckmaster, a veteran reporter, lost control early and allowed a "Wrestlemania" atmosphere to ensue. The political media finds this entertaining, most voters do not. On one level, these debates represent an epic failure of our political media in this state. Arizona deserves better.
Each of the three candidates once again demonstrated that they lack the
substantive knowledge, integrity, character and judgment to serve in the
office of U.S. Senator. This debate reflects poorly on them, and the
state of Arizona. Once again this state has been embarrassed on the
national stage by our Republican politicians. Arizona deserves better.
