The NY Times Tries To Normalize The GQP And Disappear Its Seditious Insurrection On January 6 Down The Memory Hole

The headline in the New York Times today reads Why Democratic Departures From the House Have Republicans Salivating.

Nowhere in this analysis do the reporters even mention that 147 Republican lawmakers still objected to the election results even after the Capitol attack. Every one of these seditious insurrectionists should have been expelled from Congress. The only reason they haven’t been is because a two-thirds vote is required to expel a member of Congress, and they have safety in numbers – there are enough seditious insurrectionists in the Congress to prevent any one of them from being expelled from Congress. 

All four of Arizona’s Republican members of Congress voted not to certify the results of the 2020 election. They should all be kicked out of office. Reps. Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar were purported to be leaders of the January 6 seditious insurrection. They should face prosecution for their role in this failed coup d’etat.

The MAGA/QAnon seditious insurrection on January 6, 2021 is a day which will live in infamy, like December 7, 1941 and Pearl Harbor. Americans can never forget the horrible events of that day.

The 2022 midterm election is about one issue: the very survival of American democracy itself. If these seditious insurrectionist Republicans were to regain control of Congress, their coup d’etat will have succeeded, and America will become a failed democracy, like ancient Greece and Rome.

Note to the New York Times. Your attempt to normalize the Republican Party by disappearing its seditious insurrection failed coup d’etat on January 6 down the memory hole as if it never occurred is not well received.

The modern-day Republican Party is a radicalized anti-democratic crypto-fascist MAGA/QAnon personality cult built around a single organizing principle, the Big Lie promoted by their fascist “Dear Leader,” Donald Trump. The GQP does not stand for anything else.

Republicans have no policies – other than preserving their tyranny of the minority of white Christian nationalism – and long ago abandoned any pretense of being a responsible governing party. They are nothing more than a disinformation propaganda machine that engages in performance politics for their propaganda media outlets.

We are in an existential crisis for the survival of American democracy against Trumpism, the new American fascism. This is what the New York Times and every other “access” media news outlet needs to include in all of its reporting. You should not be enablers of the GQP to disappear its sedition and assault on American democracy down the memory hole. There must be a reckoning for these anti-democratic anti-American seditious Republicans. They must be brought to justice.

It is up to the American people to hold these seditious traitors accountable.

The choice in 2022 is simple and clear: defend American democracy, or surrender to Trumpism, the new American fascism. Do not fail the generations of Americans who have gone before and sacrificed and died in defending the Constitution and our American democracy.
