Photo-warren-sTireless consumer advocate and Harvard Law professor Elizabeth Warren, whose task it has been to rein in the criminal banksters of Wall Street, was denied the directorship of the Federal Consumer Protection Agency that she conceptualized and shepherded to being established by a filibuster from Tea-Publican senators bought and paid for by the very same banksters of Wall Street, in particular, Scott Brown, who is the darling of the billionaire banksters of Wall Street.

So now The People's Champion, Elizabeth Warren, is running for the Senate against the darling of the billionaire banksters of Wall Street. Elizabeth Warren, consumer advocate, begins US Senate run in Massachusetts – CSMonitor.com:

[On] Wednesday, the Harvard law professor kicked off her statewide campaign to defeat Sen. Scott Brown and recapture the seat once held by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy.

Warren began her campaign Wednesday morning by meeting with commuters in Boston. By the end of the first day, she was expected to travel to several Massachusetts cities and towns in the central and western part of the state.

Warren was President Obama's choice to head up a new federal consumer protection agency, in light of the Wall St. financial crisis three years ago. However, strong Republican opposition caused her to step away.

"There's been a lot of very powerful interests who have tried to shut me down, squeeze me, push me sideways and so far it just hasn't worked," Warren said. "I'm willing to throw my body in front of a bus to try to stop bad ideas that are going to be harmful to the middle class."

She is now part of a seven-person Democratic primary field for the Massachusetts Senate seat.

Rachel Maddow interviewed Elizabeth Warren on Wednesday's program (interview begins around the 9:18 mark).
