America’s hard-right MAGA fringe is crumbling visibly, as “Jewish Space Lasers” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said she is quitting her US House job representing lunatics and psychos in Georgia. The rats are jumping off the sinking reactionary-right ship.

The shrieking banshee has ricocheted from one controversy to another:
- 2018: Greene said that the California wildfires were started by ‘space solar generators’ which were funded by powerful, mysterious Jewish backers.
- 2018–2019: Greene’s social media showed support for violence against Democrats such as Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama.
- 2021: Greene compared COVID-19 mask mandates enforced by Pelosi, to Nazi-era restrictions.
- 2021–2023: For supporting conspiracy theories and violent rhetoric, Greene lost all committee assignments for two years following a Democratic House vote.
- 2023: Ongoing disputes led to Greene being expelled from the Freedom Caucus; she dismissed the group as a “drama club.”
- 2024: During a House committee markup, Greene insulted her colleagues, refusing to apologize even when pressed.
- 2025-11-21: Greene denounced the Republican Party and criticized Trump as a “domestic abuser,” prompting her to announce her resignation.
- 2025: Greene publicly accused the Biden Justice Department of hiding evidence related to Jeffrey Epstein, intensifying her split with Trump and other Republicans.
- 2025: When Trump labeled her a “traitor,” Greene reported receiving threats and cited them as a factor in her exit from Congress.
Migration away from MAGA
In recent weeks, Democrats were puzzled when Greene abruptly started criticizing Trump. But realists could tell that she was trying to wipe the excrement off of her public image in preparation for a 2026 re-election campaign. By quitting now, she is leading The Great GOP Migration Away from MAGA.

“Staunch allies of the president are mouthing critiques that would have been unfathomable a year ago. These disputes are the prelude to an ugly battle over the post-Trump Republican Party,” wrote Idrees Kahloon in The Atlantic.
“The rifts between Trump and the rest of the GOP are piling up. Indiana Republicans are declining to rewrite their congressional maps at the behest of the president. Trump’s pitch to eliminate Affordable Care Act subsidies is also drawing skepticism within the party,” Burgess Everett and Eleanor Mueller wrote in Semafor.
“Republicans are headed for a brutal reckoning,” wrote Taegan Goddard in Political Wire. “The House is likely gone. The Senate may follow.”
Axios reported that five new polls this week show Republicans’ problems are even deeper and more worrisome than ever:
- In a Fox News Poll, voters said the White House is doing more harm than good to the economy: 46% said they’ve been hurt by the administration’s economic policies.
- Edelman released a flash update to its highly influential Trust Barometer, showing Americans are deeply fearful and distrustful of the Trump administration.
- A new Marquette Law School Poll shows Democrats are more motivated and more popular heading into the 2026 elections. Voters are flunking Trump on the economy and inflation. Only 36% approve of the Trump economy, and 28% approve of his handling of inflation and the cost of living.
- A Marist Poll found Democrats have a 14-point lead over Republicans on the midterm generic ballot.
- A Reuters/Ipsos poll showed Trump’s approval rating falling to 38% — the poll’s lowest since his return to power, weighed down by his handling of the cost of living, and by the Epstein fracas.
“If the next year looks anything like the last few months, Republicans are about to learn a very old lesson: You can’t gaslight voters about their own wallets,” Goddard wrote.
