There is another primary which may be as important as Iowa, New Hampshire or South Carolina in the GOP nominating process: the Rupert Murdoch primary.
Murdoch's Wall Street Journal editorial page and FAUX News Fraudcasting network has been the domain of the "Not-the-Romney" candidates for the past year until in recent weeks FAUX News has allowed Romney to roll out his charm offensive to FAUX Nation (it's that "fair and balanced' thing).
Josh Marshall at Talking Points Memo argues that Rupert Murdoch has thrown in the towel and reluctantly decided to back the candidate FAUX Nation loves to hate, "Mittens" Romney. The Murdoch Primary, Let's Call It.
I wouldn't be so sure. Over the weekend Rupert Murdoch got set up with a Twitter account, yes, @RupertMurdoch is now on Twitter. (Feel free to abuse this evil bastard in 140 characters or less).
Rick "man on dog" Santorum is surging from behind in polls in Iowa (that has a whole other connotation if you Google his name).
One of Murdoch's first tweets expresses some warm regards if still short of an endorsement of Rick Santorum:
So it would appear that in the Rupert Murdoch Primary, the "king-maker" in GOP politics is still in search of the "Not-the-Romney" candidate to back. How desperate does he have to be to settle on Rick "man on dog" Santorum? (A former FAUX News contributor).
