Center for Arizona Policy is hosting its annual shindig, featuring renowned Fox News gasbag Charles Krauthammer as keynote speaker, at the Sheraton in downtown Phoenix on May 3rd. I thought about buying a ticket and trying to get in to it but, at $300 a pop, that’s way more than I’m willing to give to Cathi Herrod for any reason. Here are the ticket prices.

Man, right wing theocracy is some lucrative shit, isn’t it? Tell me again how everything will get better now that the dastardly public campaign financing has been gutted and campaign contributions increased. Sensible Centrist Business Leaders™ are going to be saving Arizona any minute now, right? Yeah, maybe not, considering how many people in Arizona have this kind of cash to throw at a rabidly radical religious organization intent upon imposing their views on everyone else via the law.
Also, note how much of it is tax-deductable. Because CAP is just an innocent lil ol’ totally nonpolitical nonprofit.

When do we find out which AZ legislators and members of the administration get comped? Based on past years, I would guess most of them got a free ride (aka gift) from Herrod.
