There Seems To Be A Pattern Here

One thing is clear from the last month's debate on how to address gun violence. Progressives look to the systems employed in other countries (Australia, Switzerland, Israel) that have had success in alleviating gun violence. Conservatives seem confident that we should not look to other countries for guidance.

In the health care debate, progressives seek to model our health-care system after the systems other countries have employed to achieve better outcomes at a lower per capita cost. Conservatives seem confident that we should continue to have faith in "the market" and not look to other countries for guidance.

And when it comes to climate change, progressives urge measures adopted in Western Europe and Japan (increased gasoline taxes, carbon taxes, cap and trade systems, incentives for clean energy development), while conservatives concoct theories to support the non-occurrence of climate change.

There seems to be a pattern here.
