Tim Pawlenty of Nuthin’ drops presidential bid

Once again proving that I was right and Washington, D.C. media villager insider Lawrence O'Donnell was wrong, former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty of Nuthin' ended his presidential bid on Sunday after a distant third-place finish behind the Minnesota Loon, Michele Bachmann, who beat him 2-1 in the Iowa Straw poll on Saturday. First Read – Pawlenty to quit presidential race:

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is quitting the presidential race after a disappointing finish at the Ames Straw Poll.

* * *

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann won the straw poll with 29% of the vote, edging out Rep. Ron Paul by 152 votes. Paul finished with 28%. Pawlenty, though, who spent months campaigning in Iowa, was doubled up by both Bachmann and Paul, finishing a distant third with 14%.

Pawlenty poured what was left of his resources into the straw poll and couldn't find a way to continue.

Buh-Bye. I will be interested to see how Lawrence O'Donnell explains how his pick for the GOP nomination never even made it to the first caucus in Iowa.
