ABC News posted this headline about this week's CPAC Convention in Washington D.C.: Conservatives Aim to Reengage Youth at CPAC – ABC News Oh, they sent automaton college Republicans to CPAC alright. That's just stage craft.

But who received the warmest reception at the CPAC Convention to chants of "run Dick run"? That's right, unindicted war criminal Dick Cheney. Conservatives love them some Dick.

And who won the straw poll presidential preference vote of conservatives at CPAC? Perrenial presidential candidate and target of Tea Party candidates for his own congressional seat in 2010, Ron Paul. Ron Paul Wins CPAC Straw Poll – The Note:

Same old crap conservatives have been selling for years. That will "reengage youth." Right.

If Ron Paul decides to make another run for the White House in 2012, he will likely be as much of a longshot as he was in 2008.

Interestingly, 53 percent of CPAC attendees who participated in the straw poll said they were dissatisfied with their crop of possible 2012 contenders showing room for others in the conservative movement to consider a potential White House bid.

Conservatives have no bench. This "old timers" game is all they got.
