(Update) Russell Pearce Recall

The Arizona Supreme Court takes up "King" Russell Pearce's challenge to his recall election today. The Supreme Court will not hear oral arguments and the justices will make a decision behind closed doors on Tuesday. They will base their decision on written arguments submitted by the parties. A decision is expected before the end of the week.

In other news, the Yellow Sheet Report (subscription required) reports that two members of the Maricopa Republican Party’s Executive Guidance committee, one of whom is an elected party officer, were among those who gathered signatures for LD18 stealth recall candidate Olivia Cortes. Maricopa GOP leaders helped Cortes get on ballot – Arizona Capitol Times. I don't pay for this pricey gossip rag, so if you do, post their names in the comments.
