Watch inspiring “The Earthshot Report” online

Dear viewers/readers,

Just watched this 2024 hopeful, inspiring report about innovative, sustainability projects from all over the globe, from England to Kenya, to Palau and the Philippines in the Pacific Ocean, and the Amazon and beyond :

My favorite innovations from this documentary are the invention of seaweed membranes to reduce single use plastic containers in England, using discarded pineapple leaf fibers in Philippines to make clothing and shoes, and using recycled metal to create cheaper & better cook stoves in Kenya (along with ag waste products converted into fuel briquets for these stoves). Several other restorative and conservation projects are highlighted, including an agro voltaic solar panel company in Colorado.

Thanks for AZPM for the link to this documentary. And you get to see/hear from England’s Prince William, a huge supporter of Earthshot.

This video gives me hope for 2025. And for those of us who aren’t innovators, please reduce, recycle and reuse now & in the new year. I know it’s difficult to reduce single use plastics, but please recycle what you can in the blue and orange bins, and reuse older products and not purchase new ones. Several of you know that I organize an Earth Day cleanup in my neighborhood, and that I am committed to picking up trash (especially recyclable plastics) wherever I live.
