The pro-public school and children organization Stand for Children have released a new ad attacking the flat tax and extreme budget provisions of Governor Doug Ducey and the vast majority of Republicans in the State Legislature.
Citing former Republican Governor Jan Brewer and local faith leader Reverend Hunter Ruffin, the ad emphasizes that the flat tax and extremist budget provisions of the reactionary Republicans is “flat wrong” and would hurt:
- Schools.
- Children.
- State infrastructure and water needs.
- Reduce state revenues and harm the state’s economy in the long term.
The only person that may be helped by this fiscal nightmare is Mr. Ducey who is trying to rehabilitate himself with the extreme Republican base that worships Donald Trump.
This is a very effective ad that shows how the Republican budget is “flat wrong” for Arizona and Grand Canyon State Residents.
The Republican proposal is currently stalled at the legislature.
It should stay that way.
It is time for both political parties to come together and craft a budget that will actually help move the state forward.
No to the flat tax.

Good ad but saying the flat tax is wrong for Arizona implies it’s flat right somewhere else. Last line should be amended to “…flat tax is just flat wrong. Period.
