The Budget ideas unveiled by Administration in the last couple of weeks has revealed an appetite for cutting programs that benefit our most vulnerable whether it is reductions in Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and Food Stamps. It has also unveiled plans to cut off the Affordable Care Act by siding with the opinion of a Texas Judge and cutting off disaster aid to Puerto Rico.
It is a Nazi budget where programs for the strong like tax cuts for the wealthy are championed and those for the vulnerable (and in some cases, nonwhite) are shunned.
This Nazi attitude is greatly exhibited in the Department of Education budget where many programs for poor and special education children are either reduced or just maintained. Among these budget proposals is the reduction in Pell Grant aid, the elimination of federal funding for the Special Olympics and grants to help special education students, including those who are blind.
What the Hell is this?
When testifying before a House Subcommittee on March 26, Secretary DeVos said: “that difficult decision had to be made.” One Representative, Barbara Lee said that “I still can’t understand why you would go after disabled children in your budget.” Another Representative Mark Pocan had to tell the Secretary the number of special education children that participate in the Special Olympics.
What kind of country is this when its government cuts funding for our most vulnerable citizens? How do you finance tax cuts for the wealthy while cutting funds for blind children? How do cut back on aid to the poor (reducing Medicaid and Pell Grants) and budget more for defense when this nation already spends as much as the next seven nations combined? How do you eliminate funding for the Special Olympics when you cut the Estate Tax for millionaires and billionaires like Secretary DeVos and her family?
The Congress needs to put a stop to the Nazi budget of the Devos Department of Education and the KKK endorsed candidate’s overall. The federal, like state, and local budgets should prioritize aid and opportunities towards our most vulnerable not giving sugar candy (tax cuts) to those who do not need it.

When the Republicans had the control of both the House and Senate, DeVos’s budget never survived. With the Democrats in charge of the House there’s zero percent change of this budget going through. Really it’s not worth even having this much discussion about it, except to illustrate the contempt this administration has from the most vulnerable among us, and the regard they have for only the richest interests
