Woman Power SBS Downtown Lecture Series

“Join us this October for the eighth Annual Downtown series. This year’s series explores the themes of fairy tales, gender-based violence, Latinas in politics, African American women’s language. The final event is an interview with special guest Yalitza Aparicio, the first Indigenous woman nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the 2018 Mexican drama Roma.

Carolyn’s note:  Nothing about Asian/Pacific Islander women?  I guess it shows we don’t have woman power.  Maybe next time. But we do have a Democratic VP nominee Kamala Harris who is half Asian/half Black American. I guess I better tune in to the first one about fairy tales.
