Trump denies saying what he said multiple times last week

The day after the Orlando nightclub attack Donald Trump said it wouldn’t have been as bad if the clubgoers had been armed. Trump: If clubgoers had guns, Orlando tragedy wouldn’t have been as bad:

Donald_Trump_hair“If you had some guns in that club the night that this took place, if you had guns on the other side, you wouldn’t have had the tragedy that you had,” the presumptive GOP presidential nominee said Monday on CNN.

“But if you had guns in that room, even if you had a number of people having it strapped to your ankle or strapped to their waste, where bullets could have flown in the other direction right at him, you wouldn’t have had the same kind of a tragedy.”

In Atlanta on Wednesday, Trump said that the death toll in Sunday’s deadly shooting in an Orlando nightclub might have been lower if more clubgoers had been carrying guns. Trump: Fewer people would’ve died if the Orlando clubgoers had guns:

“If the bullets were going in the other direction, aimed at the guy who was just in open target practice, you would have had a situation folks, which would have been horrible, but nothing like the carnage that we as all people suffered this weekend,” Trump said during a raucous Wednesday rally in downtown Atlanta.

In Texas on Friday, Trump told supporters hat the Orlando massacre wouldn’t have happened if the murdered clubbers had been armed. Donald Trump says Orlando shooting would have been averted if the victims were armed – and that Omar Mateen dying would have been ‘a beautiful, beautiful sight’:

‘If we had people, where the bullets were going in the opposite direction, right smack between the eyes of this maniac…’ he said, pointing between his own eyes, and pausing for cheers and applause.

‘…And this son of a b**** comes out and starts shooting, and one of the people in that room happened to have (a gun) and goes boom, boom… You know what? That would have been a beautiful, beautiful sight, folks.’

Then this happened on Sunday.

NRA Officials Say People Drinking at Clubs Shouldn’t Be ArmedDoh!

The NRA’s top lobbyist said no one should go into a nightclub “drinking and carrying firearms” when asked about Donald Trump’s comments about whether armed club-goers may have prevented the Orlando nightclub shooting, and NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre echoed those remarks in a separate interview.

“No one thinks that people should go into a nightclub drinking and carrying firearms,” Chris Cox said. “That defies common sense. It also defies the law.”

On CBS’ “Face the Nation,” LaPierre also said he doesn’t think armed club-goers is a good idea.

“I don’t think you should have firearms where people are drinking,” LaPierre said.

Which lead to this hilarity today: Twitter troll Donald Trump denying he said the things he said — on video and audio tape and widely reported in the media. “Who are you going to believe? Me, or your lying eyes?” Trump now claims he never suggested arming club-goers:

Republican Donald Trump is now claiming that he never suggested club-goers attacked in the Orlando massacre should have been allowed to be armed.

Trump says on Twitter that he was “obviously talking about additional guards or employees” of the Florida nightclub when he spoke about guns in the venue.

Trump’s point, though, was not so obvious when he made it.

That’s because he never said it. Don’t give this pathological liar the benefit of the doubt. Everything he says is on tape for chrissake!

Note: It should be noted that the Pulse nightclub had an armed guard – Adam Gruler – an Orlando off-duty police officer in uniform working security that night, who traded gunshots with the gunman near the club’s entrance, but it didn’t prevent the slayings. Orlando Club Had Armed Security – FactCheck.org, In addition, news reports said that two of the responding officers, who were nearby and arrived at the scene not long after, also fired at the gunman before he retreated to a club bathroom with hostages.

  1. It doesn’t matter what Trump said, his own rule about “Lie to them three times and they’ll believe it” is in full effect.

I think anyone who says more guns will make us safer, because an armed society is a polite society, should be extradited to Somalia.

See how polite it is there.
