Mama’s Hawaiian BBQ opens 4th location on E. Tanque Verde

Mamaslogo

Aloha! Just met owner/restaurateur Sam Alboy who has now opened up his 4th Mama’s Hawaiian BBQ, at 6310 E. Tanque Verde (at the intersection of Wilmot Rd., Pima Rd. and Tanque Verde, north of Speedway Blvd.).

They all serve the same  delicious  (“ono” in Hawaiian) meals such as their Big Kahuna (beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, and kalua pork with 2 sides), and their Korean kalbi short ribs (my favorite by far).  Their sides are white or brown rice, mac salad, house salad, french fries, mixed veggies, or desserts.

In Hawaii we eat till we are “tired”, and you can do that at Mama’s, as the portions are generous.

The other locations in town are the first Mama’s at 850 E. Speedway (just west of Park Ave.), in Sahuarita at 15990 S. Rancho Sahuarita, and up north in Marana at SE corner of  Cortaro Farms. Rd./Thornydale.  They do deliveries and catering too.

U.S. Supreme Court rejects Gov. Brewer’s request to deny DREAMers a driver’s license

Small miracles in the Christmas season — today the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Governor Jan Brewer’s request to deny DREAMers a driver’s license out of hatred for people breathing while brown and spite for that Black man in the White House.

Lyle Denniston at SCOTUSblog reports, Court turns down Arizona on immigrant issue:

DREAmactOver the dissents of three Justices, the Supreme Court today rejected Arizona’s request to allow it to deny driver’s licenses to young undocumented immigrants who have been permitted by Obama administration policy to remain in the United States.

In a brief order, the Court refused to block a temporary ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit requiring the state to issue driver’s licenses to the so-called “Dreamers” — young adults who came to this country illegally — if they have permits allowing them to have jobs here. Justices Samuel A. Alito, Jr., Antonin Scalia, and Clarence Thomas said they would have granted the state’s request. There were no explanations by either the majority or the dissenters.

Arizona remains free to pursue a regular appeal to the Court.

Jeb Bush? Seriously media villagers?

For months now we have been treated to a pre-pre-announcement that Jeb Bush will run for president in 2016. It’s all that Bush fluffers in the Beltway media want to talk about. Today, “Jebby” Bush titillated the Beltway media villagers with this Tweet:

I am excited to announce I will actively explore the possibility of running for President of the United States: https://t.co/….
@JebBush

It just amazes me how the Beltway media can compartmentalize and demonstrate such cognitive dissonance. For the past week the media has been discussing the illegal torture and war crimes of unindicted war criminal George W. Bush.  At the same time the media villagers talk about “Jebby” Bush as if he represents a restoration of a Bush royal dynasty. WTF is wrong with media villagers?

David Koch pretends to be a decent human being, fails miserably

Crossposted from DemocraticDiva.com

Barbara Walters finds David Koch to be one of 2014’s “most fascinating” people. I find him to be an insufferable libertarian douchewaffle. I see nothing fascinating about him at all and lord knows I’ve been trapped in so many tedious conversations with his ilk for the past twenty some odd years. Decide for yourself who is right here:
