There are only 21 days left to sign a petition to get the Invest in Ed Citizens Initiative on the November Ballot.
If this measure is passed by voters in November, public schools in Arizona will receive a desperately needed infusion of funds that will go towards:
- Properly compensating instructors
- Recruiting counselors and school support staff.
- Developing college and career readiness programs for students.
- Creating a statewide teacher mentoring program.
Stacy Pearson, a Senior Vice President for Strategies360 who is helping to spearhead the Invest in Ed Ballot Movement, speaking with Blog for Arizona, indicated that the volunteers and circulators were on pace to collect the needed petition signatures to qualify Invest in Ed for the November ballot by the July 2, 2020 deadline.
Ms. Pearson indicated that there are several easy ways for voters to safely sign the petitions.
One of them is to go to an Invest in Ed Signature Stations where a person can bring their own pen (or use an available sanitized pen) and, with complete social distancing, sign a petition.
Another option is for people to go through the drive-through and someone wearing a mask and gloves will come and bring the petition to you.
The best time to come would be Saturday but any afternoon would be fine.
It will take no more than five minutes to sign the petition.
Please click this website (https://investined.com/events/) to find a location near you where you can sign the petition.
There are 21 days to go.
