It's got to be a plot. The downgrading of Arizona in the nation's and the world's eyes has been too systematic and deliberate to be coincidental.
Gut education. Gut health care for children and adults near or below the poverty level. Sell off the state Capitol. Close state parks and rest areas. Allow people who never held a gun to carry one hidden in their underwear. Institutionalize the Birther conspiracy.
And then, after laying these pieces of legislation as groundwork, cap them off with the monumentally stupid and racist Pearce/Brewer anti-immigrant bill.
Put all the neanderthal legislation together, and it spells economic disaster for the state.
Tourists from the U.S. and elsewhere are already rerouting their vacation plans. Conventions and other national events are looking for other states where they can spend money on hotels, restaurants, entertainment and meeting centers. Cities and states are looking at severing their economic ties with Arizona businesses. And businesses . . . what CEOs will want to move their families here? What business needing an educated workforce and a solid infrastructure will want to relocate here?
It's got to be a plot to destroy the state. The question is, Why?
The only reason I can guess is, these ultra conservatives hate people who aren't white, along with all Democrats no matter what their skin color, so much they want to drive all of them out of Arizona. It's a quest for racial and political purity. No matter what the cost.
Their new state motto will be, "Poor, Proud and White."

When a 142-year law that mandates citizenship is being taken off the books, True Libertarians need to be afraid. Those of you who are willing trade liberty for ideology will have nothing.
(The law of the land will be change to suit the personal needs of those in power!)
Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law, which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
Section 2. Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State.
Section 3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may, by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
Section 4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.
Section 5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.

In a couple of weeks moody’s will downgrade all of Arizona’s bonds, I cannot believe how destructive this bill will be, “I would never trade Liberty for Ideology, because without Liberty there will be nothing”
Where is the civility?
This shows how stupid laws with bad moral intentions can emotionally and economically destroy a state. These same people are now back peddling making statements such as “we should not politicize the issue, or this is a federal issue.” Arizonians you were the ones who politicized the issue when you supported this law, maybe you need to think before jumping on a “rhino.” In addition people have every right to use their economic power when laws are passed that target a specific color, religion, or thought. I feel for the citizens of Arizona who do not support this bill, but the constitutional freedoms that are guaranteed by our constitution are more important than the air we breathe!
I do not think the citizens who support this bill understand how offensive this bill is to the people that it will affect. To some people in our country the constitution consist of the second amendment; I just want to make you aware that there are seven Articles and twenty-seven amendments, and our founding fathers made the constitution almost impossible for us to give up our freedoms so easily, this is not only a bad bill it is Un-American.

Seriously? It’s the State Democrat Grijalva telling people not to travel here. At least we are making sure the people that do visit will be safe!
How to clean up AZ:
1. Increase welfare spending to anyone, regardless of citizenship.
2. Spend more on education for “minority studies” classes but not math science or history. Minorities will automatically graduate. Give teachers raises regardless of student achievement.
3. Raise taxes on evil corporations so they move out of state (and bring their tax dollars with them).
4. Raise the gas tax so people drive less. Offer more rebates to hybrid car owners and impose new gas-guzzler taxes for anyone not driving a hybrid.
5. Vote Democrat, and yell at people who vote otherwise. Democracy means everyone agrees with us.
You must be in favor of Rape, Murder, deaths in the desert, and clearly you smoke a lot of pot and would love to have a bail or two that makes its way across the border dropped at your house.
