As the career of two-time election loser Kari Lake fizzles in the MAGAsphere, Andy Biggs has slithered in as the top challenger to Governor Katie Hobbs.
Kari Lake lost two major races — the 2022 Arizona governor’s race against Katie Hobbs — and Lake wasted a year and a half of the court’s time in failing to overturn the results. She also lost the 2024 US Senate race to Ruben Gallego by 80,000 votes, but refused to concede.
Biggs has taken her place running against Hobbs after 14 years in the Arizona State Legislature and 9 years in Congress from Arizona’s CD5. He’s endorsed by Trump and the racist, antisemitic Turning Point USA, slipping into Lake’s MAGA skin.
Joining Biggs in the Republican primary is rabid hyena David Schweikert, a Congressman from CD1 who’s been in Congress for 15 years.
Schweikert has already blasted Biggs for appearing at a 2024 gun-rights rally sponsored by the far-right neo-fascist Proud Boys and racist Arizona State University’s College Republicans United. Schweikert also attacked Biggs for endorsing antisemite Brandon Herrera for Congress in Texas.

Schweikert promises more attacks to come.
Biggs, 67, is a stone-age reactionary in so many ways. He:
- Voted against the Right to Contraception Act in 2022, and voted for a national 20-week abortion ban with no health exception in 2017.
- Voted to throw out Arizona’s own electoral votes in 2021.
- Was a central organizer of the January 6 Stop the Steal riot in the US Capitol.
- Voted to cut Social Security and Medicare in 2026 and 2022.
- Voted to let the US default on its debt in 2023.
- Voted against capping insulin at $35/month in 2022.
- Voted against impeaching Trump for inciting the January 6 riot in 2021.
- Publicly opposed mask-wearing to prevent COVID-19 transmission, even during major outbreaks in 2020.

It is difficult to imagine a more unelectable thug than Biggs. For all his years in Congress, Andy Biggs has introduced only six measures that became law, and he has a long record of backing hundreds of dead‑on‑arrival bills.
It’s no surprise that Gov. Katie Hobbs has outraised both GOP gubernatorial challengers—and raised nearly double the field this past quarter. She now holds $17 million for her reelection.
Biggs has raised $3 million, and Schweikert has raised $900,000.
In contrast, the four most important measures by Governor Hobbs are widely seen as: repealing Arizona’s Civil War–era abortion ban, a major bipartisan water deal, large-scale investments in housing/affordability, and a medical‑debt forgiveness initiative.
