Arizona Democratic Congressional Reaction to the Stable Genius Melting Down on Meet the Press

Donald Trump’s broadcast interview with Kristen Welker on Meet the Press this morning (June 7, 2026) is already a classic, with all the Mad King’s greatest hits, evasions, lies, male chauvinism, and outright deranged lunacy.

Please click here to read the full transcript of the Stable Genius’s meltdown before walking away in a huff, calling Welker “darling” and a “crook.”

During this “interview,” Mr. Trump repeated several of his greatest lies and boasts, including:

  • The Iran Nuclear Deal that President Obama negotiated was bad. What he was doing with Iran, including bombing them, was better.
  • The economy was horrible before he came back to office in January, 2025.
  • Farmers all love him despite the economic hardships his policies have brought them.
  • The domestic terrorists who stormed Congress on January 6 were encouraged to enter the building by F.B.I. undercover agents, not his address on the Ellipse earlier that day and were victims of the Biden Justice Department.
  • The 2020 election was rigged, and so was the recent primary in California.

Welker pushed back on Trump’s assertions about tearing up the Iran Nuclear Deal and the current war, and asked, “If they (Iranian leadership) are so desperate to make a deal, why haven’t they made a deal with you yet?”

Trump responded:

“Because they — it’s a very hard thing for them. They’ve had great independence. They’ve dealt with very weak and ineffective leadership on behalf of the United States and other countries, frankly, that were — that allowed them to get away with murder. And I don’t — I think they can’t believe they’re in the situation where they’ve been virtually decapitated.”

Welker continued with “But if they’re so desperate, Mr. President, why haven’t they said ‘yes’ to the terms you’re proposing?”

Trump responded:

“Because they’re strong. They’re proud. There are things they never thought they’d be doing that they’re going to have to do. They’ve got no choice. And it takes a little while. You know, you’re talking about 47 years of getting away with whatever they wanted. I mean, we should — this should’ve been done long ago. This should’ve been done by other presidents, or other countries. Doesn’t have to be us. Other countries. But they were very close to having a nuclear weapon twice. That was when I terminated the Iran nuclear deal, which was a path — that deal, the JCPOA, that deal was tantamount to giving them a nuclear weapon. It was a horrible deal, given by Barack Obama. And really penned by him. It was a horrible deal. It was — you know, it expired long ago. Had I not — I terminated it. But had I not terminated it, it expired long ago. It was a short term deal. It was a road to a nuclear weapon. They would’ve had a nuclear weapon five years ago.”

Welker then challenged Trump on why he did not negotiate a new nuclear deal with Iran after he tore up the one Obama, N.A.T.O., Russia, and China had concluded:

Trump responded:

“It doesn’t go that fast…Excuse me. It takes years to do these things. These people have been fighting for 47 years. They’ve been killing Americans, they’ve been taking off their legs and their arm, and their faces have been hurt so badly and so horribly. I’m moving very fast. I’m into three months. You know, Vietnam lasted 19 years. I’m into my third month, and all I do is say, whoa, when are you going to end? If I were a Democrat, nobody would be talking that way.”

Things became progressively worse from there, with Trump contending that the world would have ended if he had not pursued bombing Iran.

When Trump repeated his lies about January 6, the 2020 election, and the recent California primary, Welker continually asserted that there was no evidence for any of his claims or whims and reminded him that 170 domestic terrorist insurrectionists pleaded guilty for what they did that day.

Trump lost it after Welker told him there was no evidence of a rigged election in California last week, saying:

“They’re crooked just like you’re crooked, your press is crooked. And Meet the Press is crooked…You’re either crooked or you’re stupid…ou play right into their hands with this stuff. You know that these elections are rigged. Your network knows that they’re rigged. Do you know that I won an election in a landslide and I got 94% bad press…Your elections are crooked and you’re crooked, and Meet the Press is crooked. And so is ABC and CBS and CNN…You’re a one-sided crooked network. Sorry. Let’s call it quits because I’ve had enough. Thank you, darling. Have a good time. I’ve sat in the rain with you…On and off in the rain, and I’ve given you enough time. You ought to straighten out your press, because you know what? A country can never be great with a dishonest press.”

Many people probably gagged after Mr. Trump uttered that last sentence.

Reacting to Trump’s latest meltdown/tirade, Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego reacted by challenging the Mad King’s masculinity, calling him a “beta” male in two social media posts.

Following this recent debacle from the Mad King, Arizona Representative Yassamin Ansari delved deeper in her response to the Mad King’s recent interview debacle, releasing the video below on social media, calling Mr. Trump’s performance another example of how he is “Mentally unstable and a national security risk.”

Ansari also said, “Donald Trump is way too emotional to be the President of the United States. It is unbelievable that this man can not handle basic questions from journalists…He berated her, called her ‘darling’ as he likes to berate women…It is insane. It is a national security crisis. This is the person that has been entrusted with diplomacy. With our nuclear codes. With keeping us safe domestically and abroad and he can not handle simple questions from a journalist…This is why so many of us have been sounding the alarm about the need for the 25th Amendment…he is mentally unhinged and erratic and unwell…I don’t know how Republicans are enabling this level of instability…”

If Franklin Delano Roosevelt were alive, he might very well say, “The only thing we have to fear is the 80-year-old lunatic in my former office.”

Voters need to remember they have the power to put a check on this male chauvinist pig disgrace by voting in new Congressional leadership this November.

Hopefully, they will use it.

  1. I so strongly applaud your use of MR. when talking about the orange man. There is no way the title of President should be used in conjunction with that man’s name because he definitely has shown he doesn’t deserve it.
