Arizona Senate’s GQP Sham ‘Fraudit’: BIDEN DEFEATS TRUMP, AGAIN

For months now, the MAGA/QAnon cultists who troll this blog have done their best imitation of Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady with their angry rant “Just you wait, Henry Higgins, just you wait! When the Arizona Senate GQP sham ‘fraudit’ report is released, then you’ll see!”

The most common troll comment was along the lines of “if you are so certain of the results, what is the harm in letting this GQP sham ‘fraudit’ play out?” (Um, because it is the basis for the Big Lie to undermine confidence in American elections, that’s why you dumbass. This Big Lie cancer has now spread to other states with equally insane Republican legislators.)

I would like to throw this troll comment back in their faces today, with the release of the GQP sham “fraudit” today.

It turns out that even a QAnon conspiracy theorist with insane theories about “bamboo fiber” ballots from China, and the even more insane Jovan Pulitzer’s “kinematic artifact detection” technology to find folds in ballots, could not overcome the actual hand count of Maricopa County ballots by mostly MAGA/QAnon cultists desperately seeking to prove massive voter fraud in Arizona.

The hand count audit by these QAnon partisan grifters confirms that Joe Biden won the state of Arizona, and by even more votes than the official machine count tally. (Election experts will tell you that hand counts conducted by humans are far more error-prone than machines and that machine counts are more accurate).

Oh, a self own! Donald Trump’s head just exploded.

So will these MAGA/QAnon cultists now STFU and accept the results of their own hand count GQP sham “fraudit”? (Of course not. When conspiracy theorists are proven wrong, they just invent a new conspiracy theory to explain away the original conspiracy theory. This is how the cult of “Q” rolls).

The Arizona Mirror reports, Arizona ‘audit’ finds Biden won (by more votes) and no evidence of fraud:

After months of work and some $6 million spent, a so-called audit that Trump supporters claimed would show that the election had been stolen from the defeated president found that Joe Biden actually won Arizona by more votes than the official tally — and it found no conclusive evidence that the election had been influenced by fraud.

Draft reports from the review that Senate President Karen Fann commissioned of Maricopa County’s election results declared that a hand count of nearly 2.1 million ballots from the November 2020 election found Donald Trump had 261 fewer votes than the county’s official canvass gave him, while Biden had 99 more. All told, Biden gained 360 votes in the Senate “audit” hand count — which was criticized by election experts as fundamentally flawed — giving him a victory of 45,469 votes in Maricopa County.

Official canvasses had Biden winning the county by 45,109 and the state by 10,457 votes.

“This means the tabulation equipment counted the ballots as they were designed to do, and the results reflect the will of the voters. That should be the end of the story. Everything else is just noise,” Jack Sellers, chairman of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, said in a press statement Thursday night.

The audit reports also showed no evidence of fraud or malfeasance that might have changed the election outcome in Arizona.

The reports make a number of claims about ballots that might be problematic for different reasons. But it leaves the issues open-ended and makes no conclusive statements. The findings suggest that the audit team did not investigate those claims more deeply to determine their validity before compiling the reports.

State law permits voters to request that their early ballots be sent to a temporary address.

The draft report also claims that 23,344 early ballots were cast by people who shouldn’t have received them because they moved — a conclusion reached by comparing the names of voters who cast ballots with information from a third-party data vendor. Another section claims 9,041 people returned more ballots than they’d received, though the report acknowledges that there could be legitimate explanations for why the records said that.

As Brahm Resnik says “This is a feature not a bug: Cyber Ninjas’ team consistently demonstrates it doesn’t know how Maricopa County elections work.” And as Jim Small says. “When you hire people who don’t know how elections are run to evaluate how an election was run, it’s inevitable they will miss things like this. Don’t mistake their ignorance for “fraud” in the election.”

So these incompetent MAGA/QAnon conspiracy theorists tried to blame Maricopa County for their own glaring lack of knowledge and utter incompetence:

The executive summary of the report — which did not mention the results of the hand-recount that took more than 3 months to complete — also concedes that many of the alleged concerns the review found could have been allayed if the county had cooperated with the audit. The county has steadfastly refused to cooperate or participate, to the point of refusing to even answer questions about election policies and procedures. That has presented a problem for the audit team, which has no background in elections work.

“Had Maricopa County chosen to cooperate with the audit, the majority of these obstacles would have easily been overcome. By the County withholding some subpoena items, their unwillingness to answer questions as is normal between auditor and auditee, and in some cases actively interfering with audit research, the County prevented a complete audit,” the summary read.

Um, No. The “fraudit” team is just a group of MAGA/QAnon asshats grifting off of this fraud.

Sellers said there was a good reason the county refused to cooperate.

“How could we cooperate with an inquiry that was led by people who have no idea how to run any election, let alone one in the second largest voting district in the United States? The Board approved the election plan, we hired and supported our election experts, and they produced a well-run and accurate election in accordance with Arizona law,” he said in his press statement.

I have said before that all 16 Republican senators should be forced to resign in disgrace for this crime against democracy, this fraudulent exercise to create an alternate reality in which MAGA/QAnon conspiracy cult members reside. Everyone should be demanding their resignations from office. And that goes for the MAGA/QAnon conspiracy cult members in the House as well.

Senate President Karen Fann, and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Warren Petersen, the ringleaders of this GQP sham “fraudit,” should resign in disgrace before the end of the day.

If Maricopa County Supervisor Steve Chucri, a  wingnut for whom I have no respect,  can resign after the release of a secret recording in which he maligned his fellow board members over his bogus claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election, then surely these 16 Republican Senators responsible for this GQP sham “fraudit” should be held to the same standard. (I would say they should do the honorable thing, but they have no honor).

Our “Wimpy Kid” Governor has been AWOL on this crime against democracy. He does not get a pass either. He should resign for his abject cowardice and failure to prevent this Big Lie cancer from taking root in Arizona.

And let’s not forget our partisan hack attorney general, Mark Brnovich (damn, what an embarrassment to the the legal profession). Donald Trump is demanding that AG “nunchuks” (or is it “numnuts”?) investigate election fraud that even the QAnon conspiracy theorist Doug Logan aka Cyber Ninjas dd not find.

And like the partisan hack that he is, Brnovich responds, “Yes Dear Leader, whatever you command Dear Leader.” Brno should be disbarred.

Maybe Brno should be coming down hard on the Arizona Senate and its agent Cyber Ninjas, who are refusing to comply with a valid court order to turn over documents about the GQP sham “fraudit,” which is the only demonstrable fraud that has occurred here. Cyber Ninjas, flouting court order, refuse to turn over public records to the Senate.

Maybe Congress can hold these grifter frauds accountable that our feckless Republican state leaders have all miserably failed to hold accountable. Congressional Dems want to grill Cyber Ninjas about ‘questionable audit’:

[T]he U.S. House Oversight and Reform Committee, congressional Democrats are now demanding the Cyber Ninja’s officials appear at a hearing next month.

Top Democrats on that panel, Reps. Carolyn Maloney of New York and Jamie Raskin of Maryland, sent a letter Friday to Doug Logan, CEO of the Florida-based Cyber Ninjas, seeking his testimony at an Oct. 7 hearing on the firm’s role in the so-called “audit” of ballots cast in Maricopa County.

“This request follows your repeated refusal to produce documents requested by the committee regarding this largely privately funded audit,” Maloney and Raskin wrote.

“As a result of your obstruction, your participation in a committee hearing is necessary for the committee to advance the investigation of the questionable audit your company performed and to examine whether this audit is interfering with Americans’ right to vote free from partisan interference.”

Democrats on the House Oversight panel wrote to the company in July and August, requesting documents related to audit procedures, funding sources, and communications with outside parties that may have improper influence on its investigation.

But top officials on the committee say the company “continuously obstructed” the congressional review, sending responses that objected to the requests or only relayed information that was already publicly available.

In addition to refusing to turn over documents to Congress, Cyber Ninjas has also said it won’t surrender records that Arizona courts have said are subject to Arizona’s public records law. On Thursday, attorneys for American Oversight, a liberal watchdog organization that sued to get records, asked a judge to hold the Arizona Senate in contempt for failing to force Cyber Ninjas to provide the documents.

Maloney and Raskin described the panel’s investigation as “of exceeding importance to the American people.”

“Consistent with Congress’s constitutional authorities, the committee is investigating the extent to which your company’s actions have undermined the integrity of federal elections and interfered with Americans’ constitutional right to cast their ballot freely and to have their votes counted without partisan interference,” they wrote.

Don’t leave out the Republicans in the Arizona Senate. They are complicit co-conspirators.

And what is Congress going to do about the fascist Trump propaganda network, One America News Network, and lead propagandist Christina Bobb, who not only promoted this scam but grifted money to enrich herself and the other grifters running this clown show? Bobb and OAN needs to be held accountable at law for fraud.

    Grant Woods said he was surprised at how “100 percent incompetent” the operation was, as he at least expected it to make up a flimsy pretext to claim former President Donald Trump really won the election that he lost decisively to President Joe Biden.

    That said, Woods argued that uncovering purported “voter fraud” wasn’t really the purpose of the “audit” in the first place.

    “They’re in it for the money, okay?” he said. “It is a grift. There’s a lot of grifters we have been exposed to, I was attorney general for years. I dealt with grifters every day, this is how they act.”

    Woods then explained why Cyber Ninjas were likely to try pulling the same trick in other states that the pulled in Arizona.

    “You would think they’d say this didn’t work out, we’ll go home, feel bad about what happened — no, they’re not, they never give up,” he said. “They move to the next mark. The next marks are the [other] states.”
