Citizen journalists from the Sunlight Foundation evaluated congressional Web sites to determine whether they provided three kinds of information:
- Access to basic information on what our elected officials do in Congress (the bills they sponsor, the committees they serve on)
- information from or access to any of the legally-required
disclosures they have to file (on personal finances or junkets they
take) - Any additional information that furthers transparency (their daily schedule, lists of earmarks they’ve asked for or gotten).
The Sunlight Foundation considered 40% a passing score; the average transparency score was 29%.
As you can see, only Raul Grijalva and, surprisingly, Trent Franks actually received a passing score. A little leeway should be given to our freshmen, Giffords and Mitchell, but we should expect, and demand some real improvement by all of our delegation.

In DEFENSE of Gabrielle Giffords she DOES answer your phone calls personally and any letters of CONCERN that are passed through her Tucson Office. The web-site is a tool but with her she likes first hand contact.
Iam working with her on Telemarketing Fraud and Immigration reform.
