"You have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately… Depart, I say; and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!" – Oliver Cromwell Address to the Rump Parliament (20 April 1653)
This is the message Arizonan's should send to their embittered, angry old man, Sen. John McCain, who has been making a complete ass of himself and embarrassing the residents of this state.
"If it's Sunday, it's John McCain," and this past Sunday Arizona's embittered, angry old man was a guest on CBS’ Face the Nation. McCain used his time to politicize the attack in Benghazi, Libya to a new level, engaging in a hyperbolic attack that it was “either cover-up or the worst kind of incompetence,” worse even than the scandal that forced President Nixon to resign. McCain: Obama Response To Libya Attack Is Worse Than Watergate:
MCCAIN: Also, by the way, he said he immediately ordered action to be
taken, no action was taken over seven hours. Now we find out the
Secretary of Defense decided not to take any action. You know what, somebody the other day said to me that this is as bad as Watergate. Well, nobody died in Watergate. But this is either a massive cover-up or an incompetence that is not acceptable service to the American people.
In April 1983, a suicide bomber rammed into the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon. Sixty-three people were killed, including 17 Americans, eight of whom were employees of the Central Intelligence Agency, including chief Middle East analyst Robert C. Ames and station chief Kenneth Haas.
In October 1983, a suicide bomber detonated a truck full of explosives at a U.S. Marine barracks located at Beirut International Airport. 241 U.S. Marines were killed and more than 100 others wounded — the deadliest single attack on Americans overseas since World War II. The attack led President Reagan to withdraw U.S. Peace Keeping Forces from Lebanon.
There were other attacks on U.S. embassy and military personnel during Ronald Reagan's presidency. Terrorist Attacks On Americans, 1979-1988 | Target America – PBS. Not once did John McCain allege “either cover-up or the worst kind of incompetence” by President Reagan. The man is embittered about losing to Barack Obama in 2008, and it has distorted his every thought and action. He is incapable of rationality.
McCain was in Ontario, Ohio on Tuesday for a campaign event, er, a "storm relief and volunteer appreciation" event, for Willard "Mittens" Romney, at which he used the opportunity to once again engage in his hyperbolic attack on President Obama. McCain rips Obama on Libya at relief event:
"This president is either engaged in a massive cover-up deceiving the
American people or he is so grossly incompetent that he is not qualified
to be the commander in chief of our armed forces. It's either one of
them," McCain told Romney volunteers gathered here at a Victory Center.
Here is my favorite part:
McCain later added: "It is my obligation to the men and women
who are serving to get the full story out to these four brave Americans
have families. They deserve to know why their sons were sacrificed in
the needless fashion."
It is high past time that John McCain be held to the same standard. This Neocon war monger who has never met a war he did not like was one of the chief patrons of Ahmed Chalabi and the Iraqi National Congress in Washington, and a strong supporter of the Neocon war mongers at the Project for a New American Century who plotted the war in Iraq for years. John McCain lusted for the unnecessary and illegal war in Iraq, and if he had his way, U.S. Forces would still be there. He has the blood of all those who died in Iraq — our sons and daughters who were sacrificed in needless fashion — on his hands. He should be held to account.
John Mcain would readily send American forces to war in pursuit of his Neocon wet dream of a Pax Americana empire at the point of a gun. At the Republican convention, McCain called for "Four more wars!"
- No defense budget cuts
- No withdrawal from Afghanistan
- Back to Iraq!
- War with Iran!
- War with Syria!
- F#%king Russians!
- F#%king Chinese!
This man is deranged and is a danger to those serving their country in the U.S. Armed Forces. As Cromwell said long ago, "You have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately…
Depart, I say; and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!"
