ICYMI, Linda Ray posted at the Tucson Weekly, Adventurers in Buying Elections With the Koch Brothers | The Range:
David and Charles Koch love Arizona congressional representatives the best. In 2011, they gave our our representatives more money than those of any other state, and they gave money to more Arizona congressional representatives than those from any other state. Ben Quayle ($6,000), Trent Franks ($7,500), Dave Schweikert ($10,000) and Jeff Flake ($12,300) racked up a total of, to save you the math, $35,800 for their campaign coffers from the Kochs, and wouldn't you know, their constituents apparently wanted them to vote in ways that seemed to favor the brothers. Americans For Prosperity gave them all a 100 percent rating for the first half of the 112th Congress.
Here are details from Think Progress.
A press release from the Arizona Democratic Party last week makes the same point:
Flake, AZ GOP paid for by the Koch brothers
Yesterday, Jeff Flake's campaign sent around a video title "Mr. Flake goes to Washington." But today, we got a perfect reminder that the "Flake" brand his campaign portrays doesn't come close to matching up with the actual career politician. Flake likes to say he has changed Washington, but here's the reality: Jeff Flake is Washington.
The fact that Flake was exposed today as being a favorite of the Koch brothers and having accepted more than $12,000 in campaign contributions — more than any other Arizona Republican — from the Koch brothers shows you where his real priorities are focused, protecting the interests of billionaires over the middle class.
Take a look at the list below, which shows that Flake and other Arizona Republicans take a large share of the Koch brothers' political contributions.

Meet the 40 members of the Congressional Koch Caucus
By Brad Johnson on Jan 20, 2012 at 9:25 am
Five senators and 40 congressional representatives received a perfect 100 percent score from the Koch brothers’ astroturf group Americans For Prosperity for the first half of the 112th Congress. AFP judged Congress on their votes to protect the Koch brothers’ right-wing petrochemical empire on such issues as the repeal of President Obama’s new health care law, pre-empting EPA’s authority to regulate greenhouse gases, Chairman Paul Ryan’s budget to end Medicare, ending ethanol subsidies, several Congressional Review Act resolutions of disapproval to overturn new regulations, and the fiscal year 2012 appropriations bills.
In a previous post, ThinkProgress Green reviewed the five Koch senators and their massive haul of campaign contributions from the Koch empire.
