Arizona’s Congressional Democrats are not mincing words on what Musk/Trump/Vance MAGA World is unleashing on the country in their efforts to destroy everything the people hold dear from within.
The major topics of discussion this week, beating out Musks and Trumps assertions that he is a king and there are people over 300 years old receiving Social Security payments (it is really depressing that people are actually buying this,) are MAGA’s desire to rob from the poor and give to the rich in their budget proposals, the likely Senate Confirmation of Kash ‘Mr. Cayman Island and I will go after Trump’s Enemies’ Patel to become the next director of the F.B.I., and the Felon in Chief’s apparent backstabbing of Ukraine in the Russia/Ukraine War.
Guess the extortion attempt for half of Ukraine’s mineral rights is not working out for the Stable Genius.
To review, MAGA Republicans in the Congress are supporting another round of tax cuts for the plutocratic one percent to be partially paid for on the backs of the country’s most vulnerable through cuts in valued programs like Medicaid, Head Start, and Food Assistance.
These charts from MSNBC’S Steven Rattner illustrate how the Musk/Trump/Vance MAGA tax cuts would benefit the wealthy, cut programs that actually help people, and blow up the deficit and national debt.

Arizona’s Congressional Democrats have voiced their serious objections to the MAGA budget proposals.
Representative Yassamin Ansari has been touring her district, speaking with people like the disabled and pre-schoolers who could be adversely impacted by these draconian budget cuts.
Senator Mark Kelly took to the Senate Floor to raise his concerns about the MAGA budget plans. Afterward he said in a social media post:
“Hey, just got off the floor of the US Senate where I spoke about how Donald Trump and Elon Musk are spending all this time to figure out how to give a big tax cut to the richest people in our country instead of focusing on the things that arizonans and Americans really care about, which is cutting the price of groceries and housing and creating good paying jobs and better schools. We’re spending so much time on figuring out how to give a big tax break, the people who don’t need it.”
Senator Kelly also posted this with regard to his continued support for Ukraine.
On the MAGA budget proposals, Senator Ruben Gallego posted:
Gallego also posted this commentary on F.B.I. Director Nominee Kash Patel, saying:
“Don’t you think it’s a little weird that the soon-to-be FBI director Kash Patel had Shady contacts with the Chinese government. Not only that he lied about it. He clearly has interests in, uh, Chinese companies, hit it in Cayman Island accounts. This is the kind of thing that is ridiculous that we’re going to trust this guy. This guy with also conducting counterintelligence programs against China, this would never fly. If a Democrat was uh up for this taba nomination. The fact that the Republicans are allowing this to happen. To shows you how weak they are and how they’re willing to just give Trump anything. He wants just so they could stay out of trouble”
Representative Greg Stanton issued two posts, railing against the cuts to Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and mocking Republican House Members for begging Musk/Trump/Vance to not cut programs in their districts.
Stanton, a member of the House Foreign Relations Committee also condemned Trump’s false narratives (they started the war and their leader is not popular) and backstabbing of Ukraine over the last couple of days, posting:
Even though he is not a member of Arizona’s Democratic Congressional Delegation, this stinging rebuke to Trump over his apparent flip on the Ukraine and Russia war by former Ambassador Michael McFaul is worth watching.
