Breaking: Thucky to Stand In For Huppenthal at Next Debate

This just in: I’m told by a confidential source that our friend Thucky (the troll who can’t quit us) will be standing in for John “Empty Chair” Huppenthal at the next debate among the Superintendent of Public Instruction candidates.

I’m still trying to corroborate the source, but there is a logic to it. Think about it. It’s the perfect marriage of convenience. Huppenthal’s schedule is too jam packed to permit him to keep debate commitments. He’s had to back out at the last minute three times in a row. Thucky has exactly the opposite problem. By definition, he has too much time on his hands. He is, after all, a blog troll. The Thuckmeister posts comments here and on other blogs at all times of the day and night. Parceling out enough time to fill in for Huppenthal would be a walk in the park for ole Thuck.

And Thucky has extensive knowledge of where Huppenthal stands and on Huppenthal’s life story, so he wouldn’t need a ton of prep time. Check out these comments from Thucky over the years:

Supe Race: What Does Huppenthal Fear?

The following is an excerpt from an email I received yesterday from David Garcia’s campaign for Superintendent of Public Education, one of the top five elected offices in the State. Tomorrow evening is the first public debate for Arizona’s state superintendent candidates. (get the details here) We think this is a big deal. After all, … Read more

Friedman vs. Putin: Who’s the Drunk?

Okay, you be the judge. Here’s Tom Friedman in today’s NY Times (Putin Blinked): The crisis in Ukraine never threatened a Cold War-like nuclear Armageddon, but it may be the first case of post-post-Cold War brinkmanship, pitting the 21st century versus the 19th. It pits a Chinese/Russian worldview that says we can take advantage of 21st-century … Read more
