Only a few contested races to report on tonight, as most races will be determined in the Nov. 3rd General election.

–LD 21 House – Democrats for 2 seats to face off with 1 Republican in the General; may be too close to call for 2nd seat between Lopez and incumbent Stahl Hamilton.

Go to the Sec. of State website for contested State races in the Republican primary (Governor, SOS, Treasurer, AG, ACC, Superintendent of Public Instruction) and several contested Federal Congressional races (CD 1, CD 2, CD 4, CD 5, CD 8). Also of interest is the Dem primary 2 way race for Superintendent of Public Instruction. There may be an upset in the Republican Superintendent position, with Treasurer Kimberly Yee leading incumbent Tom Horne.

No contested primaries for CD 6 with incumbent Juan Ciscomani (R) vs. JoAnna Mendoza (D) heading into the General; also not contested in the Primary in CD 7 with incumbent Adelita Grijalva (D) once again being challenged by Daniel Butierrez (R) in the General.

For close races, stay tuned for counting of provisional ballots, which usually takes about a week in Arizona.

Voter turnout was only 26.48%. Will be updating daily, only for close race for 2nd seat in LD 21 House. Other contested races appear to be resolved. LD 20 Senate gap between Rep. Alma Hernandez & Rocque Perez is lessening, so stay tuned (July 23).
