Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will hold a rally Tuesday evening at the Phoenix Convention Center, ahead of Arizona’s March 22 presidential preference election.
Doors open at 1 p.m., several hours before the rally is expected to start. The free event is first come, first served, though the campaign requested RSVPs.
The Tuesday evening event coincides with today’s Ides of March primaries in Florida, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri and North Carolina.
Bernie’s wife Jane Sanders was in Phoenix on Monday, the first of what she said might be more Arizona stops.
In an interview with The Arizona Republic, she said a rally in Flagstaff is possible later in the week, followed by a Tucson rally some time after that.

You mean TODAY!??? I thought I was on all the Sanders email lists and this is the first I’ve heard of this!

I understand there have been more than 10k rsvps.
I wonder how many thousands of people will show up tonight in PHX? The Tucson crowd last fall was estimated at 11,000 at the Reid Park bandshell.
