Failed lawyer Anina Habba’s first act as interim US Attorney for New Jersey was to arrest an elected official for attending a protest with members of Congress.
Mayor Ras Baraka was illegitimately arrested yesterday, May 10, for “trespassing” and held for five hours by ICE. No charges were filed. Baraka is also a Democratic candidate for Governor.
No one is safe when Trump is arresting Democratic elected officials.
Trump hired the bungling Anina Habba for her curvy shape, puffed lips and resemblance to porn star Stormy Daniels when they met at a Trump golf club. She has a sad legal career marked by failed lawsuits, financial sanctions, and self-debasement to get millions of dollars.
The mayor had joined three Congress members to protest the brutal, private ICE prison for deportees in Newark. The gulag has no valid certificate of occupancy and doesn’t follow safety protocols for detainees.
Lies by the US Attorney
Habba lied in a post on X that the mayor ignored warnings from Homeland Security to remove himself. She falsely claimed that the elected officials were “assaulting” and “body-slamming” ICE officers.
No federal prosecutor — besides Habba — ever gets involved in a trespass charge, which is a petty disorderly offense under state (not federal) law. Habba is a prime example of a toady who sold her soul to Trump to get millions in legal fees.
Ironically, Habba grew up in an immigrant family from Iraq, yet she now works to deport immigrants.
Baraka commented, “Let me be clear – this was a political stunt by the Trump administration. They don’t want us to see what kind of horrific actions are taking place inside these inhumane detention centers.”
“I refuse to back down to Trump and his extremist, inhumane agenda, even if they try to silence me by arresting me,” Baraka said. Hundreds of supporters cheered when he was released.
Interviewed on CNN, the mayor said, “Not a single person, not an officer from ICE, not any of the security guards, nobody told me to leave that place. Somebody from Homeland Security came in the end and began to escalate the situation.” He was falsely arrested on a public street.

Second-rate, mediocre lawyer
Alina Habba’s career began—no surprise—in fashion marketing. She decided to attend law school but was only fit enough to enroll in Widener University Commonwealth Law School, which US News ranked in the bottom 10% of law schools.
Her first legal job was at an insurance company defense firm that sued to deny payments to consumers. Unable to find a real job, she joined her husband’s law firm, representing a parking garage. Next, she started her own five-lawyer firm, located eight minutes away from a Trump golf club, suing journalists.
Trump had lost all his legitimate lawyers who refused to represent him in 2021. Unable to find a good attorney, and the lascivious Trump hired the nubile Habba, who is 40 years younger than he is.
Her first assignment was to put a gag on a Trump club employee whom her supervisor coerced into having sex. Habba duped the employee into signing an illegal non-disclosure agreement to shut her up.
However, New Jersey had banned non-disclosure agreements for victims of sexual harassment. Habba dodged being disbarred when the charges against her settled.
Many pathetic losses
- A New York judge dismissed Habba’s 2021 lawsuit against the New York Times, three Times reporters, and Trump’s niece for reporting Trump’s tax returns. The court said her claims “fail as a matter of constitutional law,” and ordered Trump to pay the legal expenses of the Times and its reporters.
- She lost an appeal in 2022 seeking to prevent Trump from being questioned about his fraudulent tax return.
- Habba was sued by an employee of her law firm for repeatedly singing inappropriate gangster rap songs and calling New York’s attorney general “that Black bitch.” The case was settled.
- A federal judge threw out her baseless claims against Hillary Clinton, public officials, and private citizens regarding Trump’s false claims of 2016 election fraud. In 2023, the judge fined her $50,000 in penalties, plus $938,000 to pay the legal costs for 31 defendants in the case.
- Habba lost two huge sexual assault cases against Trump for molesting author E. Jean Carroll. In 2023, a jury found Trump liable for defamation and sexual abuse against Carroll and awarded her $5 million in damages. Trump again defamed her, and in 2024, a second jury found Trump liable for defamation against Carroll regarding his remarks after the first verdict and awarded her an additional $83.3 million.
Habba went full MAGA by 2022 when Trump’s Save America political action committee paid Habba’s firm almost $2 million in legal fees. In January 2025, Habba came under fire for appearing on a show and telling Andrew Tate, who is accused of rape, human trafficking, and other charges, that she is a “big fan.”
Members of Congress, New Jersey’s Governor and Attorney General, and New Jersey Senator Cory Booker have blasted Habba and demanded that she be fired as interim US Attorney for New Jersey.

As far as her looks go, I don’t like shaming people for their looks, good or not so much, but it is pertinent given her boss is a famous rapist, peeper of underage girls, BFF with Jeff Epstein, and her work experience not matching the job.
That Habba is a grifter is just assumed by knowing who she works for.

Habba has put her alma mater in the same league as Harvard, Yale, Vanderbilt, Princeton, Wharton, and the rest of the “great institutions” who have given us the Canadian Rafael “Cancun” Ted “Incest Pr0n” Cruz, Tom Cotton (who was once correctly schooled on the US Constitution by Iranian leadership and ran like a coward on J6), John Kennedy – a simple country lawyer, the great rapist and felon himself, and so many lying creeps presenting themselves as “just like us MAGA’s”.
Between the college admissions scandals and these MAGA alum’s representing higher learning institutions, I’m starting to worry about America’s education system.
Churning out lawyers who don’t know law stuff nor care to follow it.
I normally wouldn’t focus on a person’s appearance, however it shows how poor her judgment is to have all these sexy bikini pictures online. Think about it. Can you find a picture of any other federal prosecutor that shows them in a low-cut dress or skimpy bathing suit?
