Judy Burges, Ahhh, the "Birther" Queen's bill dies in the Senate, was among the three individuals nominated by Tea-Publicans as potential replacements for Sen. Scott Bundgaard, who resigned this month during an ethics trial in the Senate.
The state of Maricopa Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the Birther Queen, who was sworn in as a senator. Supervisors appoint Burges to fill Bundgaard Senate seat:
The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on Monday unanimously appointed state Rep. Judy Burges to the Legislative District 4 Senate seat to replace former state Sen. Scott Bundgaard.
Bundgaard abruptly resigned amid an ethics scandal.

Burges has become best known for her efforts in recent years to require presidential candidates to show proof of citizenship in order to qualify for the state's ballot. The Legislature last year passed her bill, but Gov. Jan Brewer vetoed it. She has proposed a version of the bill again this year.
That's just special. This is why we can't have nice things in Arizona — no one in the state of Maricopa has the courage to stand up to crazy.
Burges' appointment to the senate now creates a vacancy in her House seat, which I am confident the state of Maricopa Board of Supervisors will fill with someone equally unqualified for public service. Thanks for nothing.
